Hack Squat Calf Raises

Equipment Needed:

Hack Squat Machine

Proper Execution:

Position your body comfortably in the machine and lift the weight up. Walk your body down to the bottom of the platform until your heels hang off the edge and you are standing on the balls of your feet. Let your heels down until your calves are fully extended and then drive the weight by coming up on your toes as high as you can. Continue the motion until you reach muscular failure and then put the weight back in place.

Tips:

Remember to keep your knees slightly bent throughout the movement in order to avoid injuring them. Also keep your abs tight to avoid placing stress on your back. As with all calf exercises, use a full range of motion by letting your heels down as far as you can and driving your body up onto your toes as high as possible.
