Equipment Needed:

45 Degree Leg Press Machine

Proper Execution:

Secure your body into the leg press machine and place your feet near the bottom of the platform. Push the weight up and walk your feet to the bottom of the platform so that only the balls of your feet are touching. With your heels hanging off the edge and with a slight bend in your knees, push the weight up by pointing your toes forward and fully squeezing your calves. Pause briefly at the top and then return the weight back to the starting position.

Tips:

Remember to keep a slight bend in your knees throughout the movement as this will minimize the stress and help to prevent injuries. Also make sure to use a full range of motion by fully contracting and stretching your calves as you lift and lower the weight.
